Nearly half of France, now say that the Jews are too powerful, according to a new survey released this week.
Over 40 percent of people in France, believe that Jews have “too much power in the business world,” according to a survey of anti-Semitism in France, conducted by the World Zionist Organization, ahead of the International Day to Combat Anti-Semitism.
The survey also shows that 47 percent believe that French Jews are “more loyal to Israel than the country in which they live,” and that 19 percent of young people up to age 24 have negative feelings toward the Jews of France, while 43 percent of people with higher education expressed positive feelings toward them.
The survey also reveals that 54 percent of France, mostly high-income scholars believe that acts of violence, mainly stemmed from anti-Jewish sentiment and not from an anti-Israel stance.
Yaakov Haguel, who is the head of the Department of the World Zionist Organization to combat anti-Semitism, said: “Recently there has been a sharp increase in tens of percentage points and anti-Semitic incidents in France. Everyone needs to wake up and fight hate speech and anti-Semitism that caused hundreds of thousands of Jews to live in fear.”
