A Militant Referendum

On Revolutionary Direct Democracy

Revolutionary direct democracy is a philosophy advocated across the globe. We hold that all laws should be subject to a direct vote by the public – by referendum. We do not believe in rulers or politicians, thus we seek to abolish their embarrassing “representative democracies”. We believe that the only people who are capable of representing ourselves are ourselves. Thus we dismiss all governments operating under minority rule as illegitimate and worthy of eviction from our land.

Several software developers, some associated with the Metagovernment project, have developed open-source polling software. The value of these softwares to politics is hard to overstate. Voter fraud, state secrecy, and lobbying are rendered things of the past. If you want to be a part of the direct democracy revolution in an industrialized nation, you need to follow the development of open-source e-democracy.

A Program for County Secession in the United States

The first step of this revolution is to start a charity organization. This organization would adopt open-source direct democracy software as a way to determine which acts of charity it will engage in, and how it will allocate donations. Then reach out to grassroots political movements (such as Occupy and the Tea Parties), as a way of finding initial volunteers. The next step would be to canvas your county and get as many residents as possible registered to vote in your charity. Proof of residency would have to be a requirement for voter registration, and a public list of voters available through the charity.

You have installed a new government. It might not seem like it yet, but that’s only because you haven’t moved up to the level of providing a neighborhood watch, or a county watch (to be more accurate). This can be done pretty much whenever you are ready. An emergency response app, such as the Peacekeeper App, can be adopted by your charity to provide swift and competitive protection for your community.

Charities are sometimes victims of malicious prosecution and police brutality. We have seen this happen with several organizations attempting to feed the homeless. If this happens, our superior legitimacy can be used to instantly eradicate sadistic police officers from our communities. The American people quite simply have exponentially more guns and exponentially more money than the police departments. Eventually, this legitimacy will destroy these illegitimate governments regardless.

A Message to Police

If you really want to be a public servant, you’ll support the direct democracy revolution. When your superiors tell you to arrest people affiliated with it, you’ll take off your badge and refuse. In fact, you will join the volunteer ranks of the revolutionaries. That’s if you want to be a public servant. But let’s say you just want to be a sadist and get paid to beat people up and kill them. Direct democracy has been a growing movement for several years now – and it will only keep growing. Conservatives and liberals alike embrace the idea. Tea Partiers and Occupiers have both vocalized support in the last couple years. They can assemble into mobs and just demand that you quit your jobs. What are you actually going to do? Might I remind you that the government doesn’t always win against rebels. Sometimes the rebel alliance wins.
