After attending OIC Summit in Kazakhstan; President leaves Astana for Tehran

president.ir- President Rouhani, who travelled to Kazakhstan to attend the First Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit on Science and Technology in Kazakhstan, departed for Tehran after participating in the summit and a special meeting to discuss the situation of Muslims in Myanmar.

During the visit to Kazakhstan that took place at an official invitation by the President of Kazakhstan, Dr Rouhani participated in the 1st Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit on Science and Technology, and had meetings with Presidents of Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Venezuela and discussed the most important issues in bilateral relations and regional and international issues with them.

At the end of the summit, the heads of participating states also had a special meeting to examine the situation of Muslims in Myanmar, and stressed the need to end the violence, send humanitarian aid, and address the situation of the people and the displaced in Myanmar.
