Warnings about medical implants being vulnerable to hacking have been ongoing (see 1, 2). Of course, electromagnetic interference can create life-threatening issues with these devices as well. There have been warnings about interference with Apple iPhone 12 models (see 1, 2).

More recently the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned about risks from cell phones and smart watches. Since at least 2016 the American Heart Association (AHA) has also warned about cell phones and other electronics being potentially problematic for anyone with ICDs and pacemakers.
