‘American Sniper’ Widow SHREDS Obama On Gun Control, To His Face…

Following his tear-filled gun control speech this past Tuesday, Obama followed it up with a town hall meeting at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia to take questions and do his best to defend his position on gun control.

The first question to Obama came from Taya Kyle, the widow of “American Sniper” Chris Kyle.

She made some excellent points. Taya noted that criminals DON’T obey gun laws. No new laws are going to keep criminals from getting guns- period. She also points out that murder rates are at all time lows while, at the same time, the number of guns and gun owners in this country are at all time highs.

“Your message of hope is something I agree with,” Kyle told the president. She points out that it’s not the guns that are the problem but the people who own them are.

“The laws that we create don’t stop the horrific things from happening, right?” she asked Obama adding, “And that’s a very tough pill to swallow.”

“We cannot outlaw murder,” she said. “Because the people who are murdering are breaking the law, but they also don’t have the moral code that we have. So they can do the same amount of damage with a pipe bomb. The problem is that they want to murder.”

“I want the hope that I have the right to protect myself,” she said.

Taya Kyle did a phenomenal job of sticking to facts when addressing Obama. What gives her words even more weight is the fact that her responsible, gun owning, decorated veteran husband was the victim of a gun crime. I believe that Obama needed to recognize her points as much as he did her character. Instead, he shifted the focus to defending his proposals. Shameless as always, anything to push his agenda.

She was incredibly considerate. The numbers clearly show that higher gun ownership is causing lower crime rates and that the most restrictive gun policies have more gun violence. The U.S. is low per capita compared to the socialist European countries that have outlawed guns. She was pure class giving him plenty of outs in her question. The problem with his “outs” are that when an argument is invalid the answers aren’t going to be very relevant.
