Another Person Dies Hours After Taking COVID Vaccine

Senator Rand Paul sounded a warning Monday about Joe Biden’s pick for The United States Secretary of Health and Human Services supporting late term and even at birth or after birth abortions.

Speaking about California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who has been tapped up for the role by Biden, Paul said “I’m concerned about the reports that say that he’s been a champion for late-term abortion and at the time of birth abortion, and that’s outside the norm.”

“Even pro-choice people a lot of times will say they believe in some restrictions, but to believe in sort of complete, unlimited abortion until the time of birth or after, I think is something that’s a very radical position,” the Senator added.

“I would hate to have him in charge of trying to dispense government monies towards that kind of policy,” Paul urged.

“So, we’ll look long and hard and I’ll try to keep an open mind, but my first impression of what I’m hearing about him is that he may be way outside the mainstream of what anybody in Kentucky would think is right,” Paul emphasised, referring to his state.

Watch:

As noted by The National Review, the selection of Becerra as HHS is odd because he “has no experience working at HHS and no medical background. He has never been chief executive of a state, or even of a large, complex organization.”

However, what Becerra does have is a history of being a social justice warrior on health in California.

The New York Times reports that “he has been at the forefront of legal efforts on health care, leading 20 states and the District of Columbia in a campaign to protect the Affordable Care Act from being dismantled by his Republican counterparts.”

“He has also been vocal in the Democratic Party about fighting for women’s health,” the Times adds.

Translate that from newspeak and it means ‘abortion’.

Three years ago, Becerra attempted to have pro-life activists prosecuted after they exposed Planned Parenthood selling the body parts of aborted babies to biotech companies by obtaining audio of officials bragging about it.

Even the uber liberal LA Times called Becerra’s actions a “disturbing overreach.”

At the time, Becerra claimed he was protecting the “privacy” of Planned Parenthood officials, saying in a statement “The right to privacy is a cornerstone of California’s Constitution, and a right that is foundational in a free democratic society. We will not tolerate the criminal recording of confidential conversations.”

When the activists were indicted, Planned Parenthood celebrated Becerra ‘sending a clear message’ not to mess with their baby organ harvesting practice:

The Center for Medical Progress is still fighting the case with Becerra having brought 15 felony counts against CMP’s David Daleiden and Planned Parenthood also having launched a $7 million dollar racketeering lawsuit against Daleiden and the investigators who aided him.

National pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA) also slammed the announcement to pick Becerra as head of the HHS, noting that “Far from ‘uniting’ the country, Biden has proven yet again he is an extremist on abortion.”

SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said “Becerra is aggressively pro-abortion and a foe of free speech. As attorney general of California, he continued what his predecessor Kamala Harris started by persecuting citizen journalists who exposed Planned Parenthood’s role in baby parts trafficking.”

“Not only that, he went all the way to the Supreme Court to try to force California’s pro-life pregnancy centers to advertise and refer for abortion – a policy the Court rejected as unconstitutional. In Congress, he even voted in favor of partial-birth abortion,” Dannenfelser noted.

The Alliance Defending Freedom’s Kirsten Waggoner also weighed in:

Senator Tom Cotton also slammed the announcement to pick Becerra as head of the HHS:

In a second tweet Cotton also noted that “Xavier Becerra’s lockdowns in California have been a disaster.  Liberal politicians dine on caviar at the French Laundry while working Californians are locked down and playgrounds are closed. Now, Joe Biden apparently wants California’s lockdowns for the whole country.”

Students for Life of America/SFL Action announced a nationwide petition in opposition to Becerra to head Health and Human Services, calling on Americans to contact their elected representatives.

President Kristan Hawkins notes in the petition that “The goal of Healthcare appointees should be to protect patients’ medical interests, not abortionists’ financial interests.”

“The Department of Health and Human Services should not be run by a radical activist who puts his friends in the abortion lobby first, over the needs of women,” Hawkins urged.
