Another citizen video emerged showing a police officer tasering a mentally-ill man who posed no threat to him.
But am I the only one who finds it disturbing that the videographer is not only hoping the man would get tased, but then sounds ecstatic when he actually does get tased?
I’m sure he was elated that he caught the cop in the act of tasing a mentally ill man; a sure hit for Youtube.
But I really have to stress it to these citizen journalists – the more you control your emotions, the less distracting you will be on video.
In other words, either keep your mouth shut or provide a simple narration of what is happening with some quick background of what took place before you started recording.
This is not a game. Save the cheering for the sports bar. Or at least until after it’s posted on Youtube.
The incident took place in Prescott, Arizona over the weekend and has already been covered by the local newspaper as well as the Fox News affiliate in Phoenix.
The mentally ill man was apparently asking for change and talking nonsense to customers walking out of the restaurant.
Cops were called and told him to hold his arms out, which he did. The cop told him to turn around, which he didn’t do.
The cop had no choice but to teach that mentally ill man a lesson in respecting his authority. He ended up tasing him twice.
Initially, police charged with his felony resisting arrest, which means he was being violent.
But the video proved that was not the case, so now he’s being charged with disorderly conduct, which we all know is code for contempt-of-cop.

Come to Ventura County, California…..where the DA deemed being shot 4 times in the back by a cop proper police procedure…..once these cops start shooting, the can’t stop….they just go animal.

Another video of a mentally ill person tazing a mentally challenged person.
I don’t know how people stand and do nothing when something like this happens, there is no excuse for letting such a situation slip by without immediate reprisal.
There will come a time when these scum will realize the mistake they have made, but it will be too late. Well, we don’t really want that type contributing to the gene pool anyway. Further, we don’t want people like that raising children or having any influence on the young. I suppose they are having an influence on the young,,,, the young will hate them.
Again, does anyone know the name of this pig? Or, know where to see a good photo of him?

God this reporter is a moron. I live in this area, the cop wasn’t torturing this guy, Jesus have we lost all sense? It seems like we make every police video now a fight for humanity and human rights. This guy did not do as the police officer asked so the police officer could not search or question him without searching him. The man did not do the simple thing he was asked. The officer would not have been called if he was harmless, some people felt threatened, and mentally ill is a blanket term. What happens if this guy was the kind of ill that is violent.? You see a 4 min clip and already everyone is sure every cop is part of the guestapo. Find some common sense and don’t drag my citys police force throughthe mud. The cop could have used his baton and actually injured him, this was the best option he had.

hey celtic, I hope one day you run into this scumbag on the street. I hope someone around you has a video and is able to record YOU as this punk trigger happy peice of crap tazes the the light out of your eyes. As a peace officer I was taught how to deal with mentally ill people. Even though it’s very carefully and never alone. This entire situation was completly avoidable. but don’t worry your next on the tazer list.
You people are obviously immature children sitting at the computer all day ranting and raving about killing cops till you friggin need one.

its disturbing that the videographer WAS enjoying seeing the guy get tazed..
its also disturbing that he didnt take a bat to that fuggen pigs head!
more disturbing is the LIE the guy was “felony resisting arrest” then the charge reduced to disorderly conduct.. gawddamn, did he twitch too hard for being tazered or something?
why is the cop not being jailed for assault with a deadly weapon and for LYING about the behavior of the man he decided to victimize? hell yeah I find that to be the most disturbing!

I was thinking the same thing, its only a matter of time before the crowds grow in numbers, the numbers get bolder (hungrier) and the pigs heads start flying.
As for the dude filming the incident, he needs a good butt kicking just for being a complete twat.
I live in Arizona going on 6 yrs. now, and have lived in many other parts of the U.S., this place has the most corrupt cops I’ve every seen! This is another POLICE STATE action, remember who our former Govenor was; Mr. Janet Napolitano Homeland Security Ruler. If it wasn’t for my job, I’d get the ‘blank” up out of here and moved to Montana…Run for your lives American Patriots the countrys gone to hell.

I am the one who linked this to Alex Jones facebook, and within seconds it was deleted. I am from Prescott Arizona, and the second I saw this video I knew it needed prisonplanet’s help to go viral. Not only does it show how police blatantly abuse their power, but it shows how conditioned we have become to this type of action. I agree with the person who wrote this article, it is disturbing to hear the person filming wanting to see the man get tased. I believe that he just wanted to document it on video and show the world the level of corruption we have come to accept as the normal in Prescott Arizona. That why it was so predictable… We expect the police officers to LIE CHEAT STEAL… Put the microscope on Yavapai County and you will discovery some dirty dirty dark secrets…
