Plastic surgery at 79? Joan makes fun of other women’s appearance, but she admits that her own insecurity about her body and the signs of aging scare her. As is obvious from her thin body, she regularly diets. However, after her husband committed suicide, Joan struggled with an eating disorder: Bulimia. Feeling that her life was out of control, food became the one item that she felt that she could control. Although Joan says she felt great when she was bulimic, she claims that she no longer suffers from it. And given that negative body image, it’s not surprising that she announced the title of her new book: “I Hate Everyone…Starting with Me” (click for details).
