Neocon Bill Kristol flew into a rage Tuesday on MSNBC after a guest questioned his sudden commitment to helping Iranian’s achieve “freedom” after years of advocating for US military intervention in the region.

During a panel discussion on the protests that are rocking Iran, Kristol said that the “root cause” of the protests were not economic, but rather because “the Iranian people don’t have freedom.” He then chastised a fellow panelist — National Iranian American Council President Trita Parsi — for supposedly not wanting to see the Iranians live in a free society.
“Let’s respect the Iranian people’s desire for freedom,” Kristol said to Parsi.
Parsi responded by hitting Kristol over his past advocacy for a U.S.-led “regime change” in Iran similar to the one he advocated in Iraq.
“With all due respect, Bill, you’ve been arguing to bomb Iran for so long that I don’t know if you’re really respecting the Iranian people,” Parsi said. “You’ve been advocating killing Iranians.”
At this point, Kristol grew visibly angry and started shouting at Parsi.
“It’s not about me, it’s about the Iranian people!” Kristol yelled. “Do you stand with the Iranian people against the regime?”
“Of course I do!” replied Parsi, who said that he hoped that Iran could become a more democratic government without using the U.S. military to kill people.
It sure is interesting how these neocons only care about “human rights” when it advances their America Last political agenda.

Kristol was apparently triggered by Raw Story’s headline saying he “exploded in rage” during the segment.
CORRECTION:
That was not “Bill Kristol explodes in rage.”
That was “Bill Kristol expresses mild and well-justified annoyance.”
