A man’s body has been found in a car near residential properties in Girrawheen, north of Perth, this morning.
Police are treating the circumstances surrounding the death as suspicious.
Officers said the man, possibly in his 30s, was found by locals about 11.30am in a vehicle parked on the verge in Roding Court.
Resident Ned Simic told Channel Ten he first saw the car after returning home from the gym at 11.45am.
He told police officers that the red Ford Falcon was not there earlier that morning but then saw a bullet hole in the driver’s side window and the window was slightly pushed in from the impact.
“It was pretty damn scary,” he said.
Mr Simic said he had seen the car around the area before.
Traffic heading east along Beach Road in Girrawheen will need to take a different route as diversions have been put in place between Blackmore and Girrawheen Avenues. Motorists heading west are not affected.
Police advise the closures will be in place until further notice.
