If you don’t know who Keli Carender is, she is an American blogger credited with being the first Tea Party protest activist when she was the principal organizer of a protest of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 on February 16, 2009. Carender started her blog Redistributing Knowledge on January 25, 2009, writing under the nom de plume Liberty Belle.

Keli Carender penned a piece on the PolitiStick site where she tells their viewers why she thinks the next president should be Ted Cruz.

When the Tea Party movement began, she was 29-years-old. She speaks of some of her accomplishments in the Tea Party movement and takes us through her journey fighting for our country. I think you’ll be impressed.

Here are some excerpts from Keli’s Politistick article:

“This past Monday, February 16, marked the seventh anniversary of a rally I held in 2009 in Seattle, WA to protest President Obama’s crony stimulus bill, three days before Rick Santelli’s rant. On February 20, 2009, there was a phone call with 22 concerned citizens from across the country. It was on this call that the idea and plan for the first round of nationwide Tea Party rallies were born. I was on that call, and for the next six years, I would eat, breathe, and sleep almost nothing but Tea Party.”

“I gave up a lot for this movement, as so many others have, and continue to do. A 24/7 commitment to the cause of rebuilding America took a toll in almost every area of my life, including my physical health. Many of you reading this know exactly what I’m talking about because it’s been hard on you too. In 2015, I stepped back from the intense, daily grind to be a full-time mom because raising my daughter was the right thing to do for her, and I knew that raising her with the right values was just as important to saving our country as anything else I had been doing.”

I love that. Good job young lady!

Ms. Carender wants to save our country just like all of us do. She is a patriot that wants America to be rescued from this insane downward spiral that Obama and the liberals are causing. She asks, “What does it mean to you to save our country?”

Here’s what saving our country would mean to her, which most of us can totally relate to.

“I want to be able to afford a bigger house. My husband and I would like to have more kids, and I want a bigger house in a better neighborhood. I want to be able to take care of my parents as they get older. I want my husband to be able to find work that isn’t so incredibly hard on his body and where he can earn more. I want to be able to sign my daughter up for dance, swimming, music, and all the other classes she might enjoy. I would love for my husband and I to take my daughter and our parents to Hawaii someday.”

“I want to know that we are as safe as we can be from threats like ISIS and from a government that uses these external threats to chip away at our privacy rights – I don’t want my government spying on me because I haven’t done anything wrong. Remember when the IRS targeted Tea Party groups? I want that sort of BS to stop. Our government shouldn’t be turned into a weapon to use against certain people just because they disagree with the president.”

“I want to start a business with my husband so that we can be our own bosses and spend more time together as a family. It’s getting harder and harder to start businesses in America because the government keeps putting up barriers that they say are for our own good, but which are really erected to keep regular people out and the well-connected people in. I want that to stop!”

“I want to have enough to save for a retirement that doesn’t force us to depend on the bankrupt Social Security program, and allows my husband and I to choose how we want to save for retirement. I want to dream big and work to achieve those dreams!”

“I want to be able to afford to buy healthy food for my family, and I also want to be able to buy junk food sometimes because every now and then, we all need some chocolate or donuts in our lives. I want to choose what kind of health insurance fits my family best – or whether we even want health insurance, and I want the government out of my relationship with my doctor. I want to know that government isn’t playing favorites with certain groups like illegal immigrants, giving them preferential treatment and benefits over American citizens and people who immigrate legally. I want secure borders.”

Oh, I love this girl! Too bad she’s married! Lol, just joking!!!

She goes on and touches on the military saying, “I want to know that those that volunteer to serve in our military aren’t sent into battle with their hands tied behind their backs, and that when they return, they get the care they need — when they need it.”

On the Washington elites and media she wants them to “get it through their thick skulls that they do not have a right to our paychecks, and they don’t get to impose their values on us. I want to teach my daughter my values and educate her in the way I choose.”

Bravo! We don’t want Allah being shoved down our children’s throats. And we don’t want to hear how America has bullied the world through violence.

She continues.

“What this all comes down to is that I want to be free. I want my daughter to be free. Throughout history, and everywhere in the world, human beings have fought and died for freedom. No one fights and dies to become a slave. And yet, the Permanent Political Class seems to believe that we were all born to serve them, as though this is all we want to do with our lives. I don’t know about you, but for me, their delusions end this year, and regardless of what they want, from now on it’s about my family and me pursuing our happiness. I don’t care what they want.”

She explains that EVERYTHING we all want out of life is slipping away because elected officials ignore and violate the core principles of our Constitution. 

She notes that the federal government has “stolen” all the power that we the people had and that the ONLY way to get that power back is to elect a president that will, in fact do just that.

She says that’s why her choice is TED CRUZ. Citing that he is the only candidate that really knows and understands the Constitution as it is meant to be understood.

She’s not fond of Marco Rubio, who she calls a candidate with a record of betraying the American people and the Constitution.

Yeah, I’m no Rubio fan either. 

She does like a lot of things about Donald Trump but says he is “totally fine with a government so big and so powerful that it can do whatever it wants to us.”

Then she slams Obama. This is spot on. 

She says “President Obama has turned the American presidency into something more like an emperor; one man who gets to remake government to carry out his own personal vision and desires for America, outside the bounds of the Constitution or our rights and freedoms. Trump frightens me because he never talks about following the Constitution as President. He never talks about taking power from the federal government and giving it back to us, the citizens. He talks about how he alone will make all the changes necessary, and he doesn’t give us many details because he says he doesn’t want to “tip his hand.”

“I am looking for a president whose solutions will rescue America not just for my lifetime, but for my daughter’s life, and her children’s lives, and so on,” she says.

The next President of the United States must do everything he can to take power from the federal government and give it back to us. He must do everything he can to stop the power-tripping lifetime bureaucrats who make our lives hard and miserable. He must do everything he can to wrangle the whole thing back into the structure laid out by the Constitution. Ted Cruz is the only candidate who promises to do all of this, and he is the only one who lived up to the promises he made when he ran for the Senate.

Wow. I love what this patriot has to say and I am now a big fan.

I would love to see Cruz as Trump’s vice president! 

Haha! I wonder if Keli Carender will e-mail me about that comment! I would love nothing more than to talk with her! She is one awesome woman!
