Brisbane bashing spree suspects arrested

Three teenagers have been charged over a bashing and robbery rampage in south Brisbane.

Police say two 16-year-olds and 17-year-old allegedly committed four armed robberies in about an hour on Saturday.

First up, armed with a baseball bat, they assaulted and robbed three men at Sunnybank, in McCullough Street, around 12.50am (AEST)

All three victims sustained minor injuries but needed hospital treatment.

The youths then bashed and robbed three men at a bus stop on Mains Road, around 1am before assaulting and robbing a 16-year-old boy.

At 1.45am they also attacked and robbed a 20-year-old man who suffered facial and leg injuries.

Police have charged a 16-year-old New Beith youth with nine offences, including assault occasioning bodily harm, possessing a dangerous drug and five counts of robbery.

A 16-year-old West Ipswich youth and a 17-year-old from New Beith were charged with three offences, including attempted robbery.

All three are being dealt with under the Youth Justices Act.
