It has a familiar ring. Blacks and Latinos on the outside of the burgeoning OWS movement claim the leadership of the movement has not reached out to them.

Janell Ross, writing for AOL-Huffington Post, quotes Andrew Grant-Thomas, deputy director at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at Ohio State University, who states that segregation is alive and well in America – and that includes social networks.

Unlike the Tea Party movement, however, OWS has not been accused of racism. It is basically the insularity of white progressives, according to the folks cited by Ross, not racism.

The Tea Party, on the other hand, is considered downright racist by a lot of so-called progressives and more than a few black people, including the NAACP.

NAACP delegates passed a resolution condemning “extremist elements within the Tea Party” and demanded Tea Party leaders “repudiate those in their ranks who use racist language in their signs and speeches.”

I wonder if the NAACP will call the “leaders” of the supposed leaderless OWS movement racist and pass a resolution repudiating them like it did in response to the Tea Party.

BAAAHAAA! I called a couple of my friends today to ask if they wanted to join me tomorrow for a general assembly meeting for our local event. One friend was white and the other was black. Who says they don’t get a personal invite? That is not true! I call everyone and invite their input!
- I watched the NYC OWS live stream today and there were blacks speaking about stop occupying Haiti and there were hispanics speaking as well. Apparently the NAACP doesn’t do their homework.

If one were to glance at OWS protest photos or video clips, it is quite easy to notice all colors of people.

The American people have finally caught the pricks on wall street red handed, and have taken to the streets in protest (this part makes sense).

Blacks and Latinos, who, according to the above statistics, have more to lose than anyone are not showing up…. “Because they didn’t get the memo from the Tea Party?” (this part makes no sense to me).

Since when did a proud Black man or woman have to be invited to speak up for what he knows is right and wrong?

Since when did a Latino have to ask for permission before he could join Americans of other races in protest.

Instead of helping them out, you write to NAACP saying, “I would have gotten off my couch to help out, but the white folks didn’t mail me an invitation. And because I they didn’t lay out a red carpet for me, I think we should sue them”.

Our first post today reflected on the horrifying prospect of martial law, and why under no circumstances we should sit back and let that happen. We must realize that as our protests spread, entrapping some mindless individuals and creating opportunity for agent provocateurs, rioting and vandalism are just over the horizon. All by design! All that is needed to declare martial law for our “safety and security”!

I’m so sick of blacks saying they are being excluded against. I truly believe that blacks feel that they need to bring in the race card everytime when things don’t go there way. This is nonsense. The OWS movement is about going against corporate greed and against playing w/ the lower-and-middle class’s money like kindergarteners in recess. It’s not about race, b/c the lower-and-middle class are filled w/ people of all ethnicities and nationalities. Granted I’m sure you could find one or two people there who might tell a bad race joke or actually do have some racist feeling, but you’re just as likely to find them there as you are around the corner of a damn supermarket, and even in most cases they are probably in the camp of being ignorant and awkward in interaction w/ others different from them; not that many (in comparison to the total population) actually harbor real racist emotions to the point they’d want to kill a person of another color if they ever had the chance, or other stuff like that.

The NAACP needs to recognize that they don’t speak for all blacks or minorities. That group’s just ostracizing themselves from everyone else these days and are making themselves irrelevant, just like other groups like PETA. They’re crying wolf in even the mildest cases of where there could be some insensitivity, and crusading for dramatic apologies and change where it’s not needed. Just look @ what they did regarding the high school Native-American mascot thing; the Native-Americans who were *supposed* to be offended actually thought of the mascot as an honor, but of course the NAACP wouldn’t know that; they feel like they’re perfect in their assumptions and speak for everyone (sarcasm).

But enough of all that. Bottom line is, the people saying there’s racism going on w/ the OWS or any sort of protest like it really need to ask themselves why they’re so unhappy that they judge everything on racial grounds first. They’d probably end up realizing an ugly truth in them and for those that want to make themselves better we’re here for ‘ya. Otherwise, please just shut your mouth and watch things play out w/ people who see the whole picture on this issue (well, somewhat the whole picture; some of the protesters honestly don’t know what they’re there for, watching these vids).
This merely insures that the NAACP, founded by Rockfeller or another Globalist pig, can get funding from the Southern Poverty League or the ADL. Folks: When big money is the love, it’s the root of all evil. That’s my opinion in these days when you have zero confidence in moneychangers.
