DETECTIVES in the state’s north are conducting inquiries following the deaths of two men.
Police and other emergency services were called to a house on Alkrington Avenue, Fishing Point, just before 6.30am today, where they found two men with gunshot wounds.
Both men, believed to be aged in their 50s and 60s, died at the scene.
Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Local Area Command attended and have secured a crime scene which is being examined by specialist officers.
Detectives are attempting to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
