The link is to an article from the Daily Mail:

A US-based Turkish cleric accused of plotting a coup to overthrow the Ankara government has claimed President Recep Erdogan staged the rebellion himself to justify a major clampdown on opposition forces.

Fethullah Gulen, who was a former key ally of Erdogan has been blamed by the politician of using his contacts to develop a ‘parallel structure’ to overthrow the state.

Erdogan has called on US President Barack Obama to extradite Gulen, who is based in Pennsylvania.

Speaking from his home, Gulen claimed democracy in Turkey could not be achieved through military action.

He condemned the plot, although authorities in Ankara are not convinced.

He said: ‘There is a slight chance, there is a possibility that it could be a staged coup. It could be meant for court accusations and associations.’

He added: ‘It appears that they have no tolerance for any movement, any group, any organisation that is not under their total control.’

President Erdogan told a crowd chanting for the death penalty on Saturday that such demands may be discussed in parliament after a coup attempt by a faction in the military killed at least 161 people.

Looking relaxed and smiling, giving an occasional thumbs up to his supporters in Istanbul, Erdogan said the coup attempt had been carried out by a minority in the army.

He said: ‘The army is ours, not that of the parallel structure. I am chief commander.’

Earlier Erdogan urged the US to extradite Gulen claiming Turkey never turned down an extradition request from Washington for ‘terrorists’.

I am all but entirely convinced the coup was indeed faked by Erdogan for the purpose of solidifying power and purging remaining distasteful elements.

His popularity had been waning.

In June of last year, Erdogan’s party lost its majority in the Parliament, gaining only 40.87% of the vote. Erdogan called a snap election, due to the hung parliament, and in November got 49.50% of the vote, reestablishing his majority. This change presumably brought about through devious methods.

Over the last year, Turkey has been repeatedly attacked by ISIS, and people have been getting upset that Erdogan is supporting the terrorists which are attacking the country. His support was decreasing due to frustrations with his support of terrorism.

The coup made him a hero.

Other Options

Though Erdogan staging his own coup may sound like a nutty conspiracy theory, it in fact makes much more sense than any other possibility.

And all of the possibilities are necessarily conspiracies, none of which have been supported by any sort of evidence thus far.

Let’s look at the others.

Fethullah Gulen Conspiracy

Erdogan and Gulen, BFF in the 90s.

The assertion of Erdogan, as shown above, is that an Islamic cleric and member of his own party staged the coup in order to install a different form of Islamic regime.

Thus far, Erdogan has produced zero evidence to support this theory, and made the claim without any apparent rationale, beyond noting that Gulen is against him.

Gulen is an associate of Hillary Clinton, meaning if the Gulen conspiracy is true, it would have probably been approved by the US government.

Which brings us to option two, which is an extension of option one.

US/Western/Jew Conspiracy

The coup was done so poorly, that it is impossible for me to believe the West and/or the Jews could have orchestrated it.

Coup 101 is to capture the leader. They did the coup when he was on vacation, didn’t even attempt to capture him. Second thing is to capture the media, which they failed to do. Next thing is to not attack civilians, which they failed to do. Next thing is to announce a new leader, which they failed to do.

None of the basic elements of a successful coup were present, which basically says it had to have been intended to fail, or done by someone with no idea what they were doing.

Worst. Coup. Ever.

Gulen could potentially have had no idea what he was doing, but he couldn’t have gotten away with planning it without the US government being aware of it. He would have been under surveillance. Also, he is working with the US, meaning he wouldn’t have a reason to attack their ally, despite the apparent disagreements with Turkey.

If the US agrees to Erdogan’s request to extradite Gulan, it will make it much more likely that Gulen acted alone.

We also have the fact that Turkey is an ally of the US, Israel and the EU, and that they would have absolutely nothing to gain by ousting their own ally to install someone who is less pro-terrorism. Turkey is the staging base for the war against Assad, and is actively supporting the “rebels.” Turkey is also a close ally of Israel, selling them oil gathered in Syria by the terrorists. Israel is also extremely pro-invasion of Europe, which Erdogan is facilitating.

However, a theorist could come up with some convoluted reason why the West would want to oust Erdogan. What they could not come up with is an explanation of why the West would throw a coup that had an absolute zero chance of being successful, due to the most basic idiocy, while also knowing that if it were to fail, it would have the opposite effect, bolstering Erdogan in the extreme.

Russian/Other Conspiracy

When I first saw the news of the coup, my hope was that Russia had stirred-up anti-Erdogan, anti-ISIS secular forces in the country for their own purposes – that this was both revenge for Turkish aggression against them and a move against NATO.

Obviously, this was not the case, as Russia would not do anything so sloppy. They would be even less likely than the West to launch this retard-tier fail-coup.

As far as “other” – maybe some other options exist, I don’t know what they are.

It wasn’t the secular elements of the military, or the higher-ups would have come out and supported the coup. Instead, they were apparently completely silent throughout the coup, not even ordering the ones throwing the coup to stand down. Note that these top officials are not being repremanded for not ordering the military to stand-down, even when they presumably could have done this and ended the coup a few hours earlier (because the soldiers themselves didn’t understand what was even happening, they would have listened to a higher official).

And So

Considering that no hard evidence exists supporting any of these theories and probably never will, we are left to simply draw conclusions based on what we do know.

And the absolute simplest answer is that Erdogan staged it himself. There is not one single fact or angle that I am able to find which does not jive with this conclusion.

This is not an Alex Jones type theory, by the way. He often takes an established narrative and tries to deconstruct it with various irrelevant or pseudo-relevant pieces of information or disinformation. Sometimes he ends up being right – such as with claiming that ISIS was a proxy of the West – and sometimes he is wrong – such as with claiming Donald Trump was hired by Hillary Clinton to bring down Rand Paul. But the pattern is always simply to find an outrageous angle, then find the facts to fit it.

In this case, there is no narrative to go against. None has been established, as of yet. From what I’ve read today – and I’ve read quite a bit – the Western media is sort of going along with the Erdogan theory about Gulen, but at the same time they’re not really strongly endorsing it, and sometimes appearing sympathetic to Gulen.

If the West did do it absolutely retarded coup which would be the textbook example how to fail at a coup with the intent of having it be successful, they will have to blame someone else. Presumably then, they would blame Erdogan himself. But the media clearly has not received a direction on this, and Kerry has been extremely hesitant to even comment on anything.

So, my assertion is the most simple explanation for this very weird event, and I think that the rest of the alternative media commenters are going to come out and agree with me on this. I was bold, being the first one to say it, and I’ve had a lot disagreeing, but I believe I will be vindicated.

And if I’m proven wrong, and Erdogan is proven right, then so be it. I may well be wrong. However, until further evidence emerges, basic logic can only lead to the conclusion I have drawn.
