I regret buying a Dyson. Save your money and buy a real quality vacuum cleaner. You can get a quality Miele – Pet vacuum cleaner for the same price. The Dyson has battery problems, belt drive issues, and you need to pull the head apart every time you vacuum. You need to be a Technician to own a Dyson ( thankfully I am one.)

If anyone is having problems with their dyson switching on and off. It is not a switch fault. it is a faulty battery terminal. All you have to do is pull out the battery from underneath (make sure you press the unlock button first) then grap some long nose plyers and slightly twist the 2 male terminals that stick out from the bottom of the switch (located inside the plastic handle grip, where the battery slips into). Now you will have better contact with the battery and it will stop switching on and off.
