“Survival Currencies” are more unimportant than ever.
The orderly dismantling of the already-unorthodox funding of the Trucker Rally, followed by the orderly, effortless scattering of the protesters, shows that this is not a monetary crisis. It is a slaughter.
We are being attacked by a Machine, which is in command of the world’s armies and governments who are all armed to virtually-supernatural levels, and willing to use violence for the sport of it. It’s got devoted agents right down to the “Hacker” guy in this video, a genderfluid techno-barbarian cyberspace Brownshirt who is nothing but a soulless vessel Raging For the Machine.
And as Corbett acknowledges in his remarks, everything digital is transparent to the Machine. We are communicating over the nervous system of the Machine right now. Any commerce by digital means is easily weaponized against humans. The Machine has the liquidation process locked up tight from every possible angle humans can conceive. Time is on Its side. As Kyle Reese said:
“Listen, and understand. That Terminator is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.”
That’s just how it is. Note that Reese did NOT respond to the threat by whisking Sara Connor off to the boondocks to pop out some babies in blissful aloofness. He fought back, and he taught her how to fight back. If anybody survives it won’t be because they learned how to build a utopian society centered on eating pine trees. It will be because they fought back, hard, with great sacrifice and suffering reprisal up to and including torture. That’s the hard truth that Corbett is unwilling to accept.
Corbett acts like “other people” need to “wake up” and realize that “Tyranny Is Here!”
My reaction is: Uh, duh. Where have you been?
He’s the one who needs to wake up and realize it’s too late. Many generations too late. All this nonsense about “Parallel Economies” is just quixotic, ivory-tower blather. CAF’s whole presentation is pure, luxury-grade, high-thread-count, glittering, hifalutin delusional fantasy. “Heal the environment”? Good god. Wake. Up. We are all being murdered. Right now. Not “financially exploited”. Not “economically oppressed”. We’re all on Death Row.
At the end, James suggests the government “can’t go after everyone.” This is a scrap of rhetoric far too often mistaken for reality, despite being disproven routinely. The Canadian government can easily starve out every single person sympathetic to the Convoy. Easily. There’s nowhere else to go. It’s time to accept the nature of the Universe, and our fate within it. Only then can you rationally decide what you want to do with your waning hours on Earth. Everything else is just a suicide mission to Mount Doom.
