EU voices condolences over Iran air accident

IRNA – The spokesperson for EU Foreign Affairs & Security Policy Catherine Ray in a statement expressed condolences over the crash of an Iranian plane.

“Today’s plane accident in Iran caused the loss of a high number of lives. In these difficult hours, the EU sends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and their loved ones,” the statement reads.

An Iranian passenger plane of Asseman Airlines hit Dena Mountains, 120 km from Semirom, Isfahan Province, early Sunday morning. The debris of the plane has not been found yet, but all 66 people onboard are feared dead in the tragic incident.

A number of heads of states and international figures, by issuing statements, have so far offered their condolences over the tragic accident.
