European stocks climb at open; London adds

EUROPEAN equities gained ground in initial deals on Friday, with London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index of top companies up 0.42 per cent at 6,270.14 points.


Elsewhere, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 advanced 0.22 per cent to 7,490.11 points and in Paris the CAC 40 rose 0.97 per cent to 3,634.17.
