Earlier this week, all GOP senators along with the overwhelming majority of GOP reps in the House voted to make Juneteenth our new “National Independence Day” and mocked those who claimed it would replace Independence Day on July 4th and further divide America.
It took only one day after the bill was signed into law to prove them wrong.
My home town of Evanston, Illinois is having a Juneteenth Parade and a Gay Pride Parade, but is cancelling the 4th of July Parade & Fireworks. pic.twitter.com/KFhJ335LEl
