FACEBOOK has issued an apology for deleting a post by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer that criticised President Barack Obama over his administration’s new policy on prioritising deportations of illegal immigrants.

Gov Brewer’s picture and a statement that accompanied it were removed from Facebook, apparently because they “violated Facebook community standards”.

“The post was removed in error,” Andrew Noyes, Manager of Public Policy Communications at Facebook said in a statement. “We apologise for any inconvenience.”

Before the photo’s removal, it had garnered over 10,000 “likes” and comments, the governor said in a follow-up post that included a reprint of the original post.

The governor, one of the President’s toughest critics on border policy, said the administration’s recent move to launch a case-by-case review of illegal immigrants slated for deportation amounts to an immigration overhaul “via executive fiat.”

According to Facebook policy, moderators remove posts when they fall under the categories of threat, bullying and harassment, hate speech, graphic violence, sex and nudity, theft, vandalism or fraud, identity and privacy, intellectual property, phishing and spam.

  1. Sure they are, just like they are sorry their supposed anti-spam filter blocked out environmental activists and this same supposed anti-spam filter has blocked out other groups that don’t fit the status quo.

It amuses me that so many people put up with the facebook crap meaning they will complain about policies or censorship yet still use the service. I swear that FB is nothing more than a place for the government, police and intelligence agencies to spy on people. Maybe it didn’t start out that way but I bet Zuckerberg and the others have received some nice cash years ago from those agencies to be what the site is now.

I’m so glad I never decided I needed to take part in that junk. My view was people from my past were not in my life now then there was probably a reason for it so I don’t need to reconnect nor do I need to take part in some high-school type popularity contest by seeing how many fake “e-friends” I can get…and for those in my life right now, I can communicate with them directly rather through some site.

  2. Facebook is just one apparatus used to gain intelligence of unsuspecting idiots who have no clue they are being tracked and recorded. They have “volunteered” their private lives to TPTB.

    Conclusion? FOOLS

    Bravo2………out

30,000 weapons to radical Mexican CIA drug cartels as they tell us the border is more secure than ever, which is true, more secure against Americans escaping south from the rule of DC!!
DC has the military growing opium in Afghanistan and the big banks are allowed to launder drug money isnt anything like criminals aiding criminals aiding criminals naaaaw..
then DC’s SEC shredding evidence of fraud by these major banksters and wall street con artists.

DC hands out sweetheart no-bid contracts and “plays” the stock market..
DC passes regs that’ll cripple business then places put options against them so they can profit from those businesses failing.. naaw, that isnt opportunistic sabotage profiteering and unAmerican..

and meantime, dumbazz jannie brewer is upset her fuggen comment on FB got removed?!!
should we all applaud her for quality leadership now?
