Australia’s political parties are gearing up locally for this year’s federal election in September.
The Riverina candidate to contest the federal election for Labor has been named as Tim Kurylowicz.
Mr Kurylowicz is a community worker from North Wagga Wagga.
Meanwhile the Palmer United Party has announced Lex Stewart as its federal candidate.
Mr Stewart is an engineer from Molong near Orange and will be in Leeton today and visit Wagga Wagga on Sunday.
Both candidates will stand against The National Party’s Michael McCormack, the Democratic Labor Party’s Paul Funnell, Australia First’s Lorraine Sharp and Ros Prangnell from the Greens.
Ron Emmerton from Gerogery, has also joined billionaire Clive Palmer’s United Party for the seat of Farrer.
Farrer will also be contested by Brendan Cattell from the Democratic Labour.
