Florida dog shoots his owner in the leg

A man was shot in the leg not by another person but by his beloved dog, according to press reports in Florida.
The Florida dog did not quite live up to the reputation of their species as man’s best friend, accidentally shooting his owner in the leg with a .380 pistol while his owner was driving his car, a local Florida newspaper reported.
Gregory Dale Lanier, 35, of Sebring, Florida, did not know the gun on the floor of his truck was loaded up until his dog accidentally kicked it and shot Lanier in the leg.
“Lanier said he heard boom, saw smoke and felt a burning sensation in the leg,” a Sebring police commander, Steve Carr, said.
The police did not arrest the dog.
