We speak to Pat Mills, creator of 2000 AD, about media censorship and working-class characters in fiction.
Statement:
Board of Deputies of British Jews Vice President Marie van der Zyl said: This throwback to the early 1990s seems to be fairly spurious. During the conflict in Gaza and Southern Israel, we said clearly that we mourn the loss of all lives in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and campaign for a resolution resulting in a secure Israel alongside a viable Palestinian state and that we reject all forms of racism. Sadly, however, in that time the use of antisemitic cartoons like those of Carlos Latuff has only become more blatant and commonplace. It goes without saying that the use of racist tropes of any kind do nothing to advance the cause of peace.
