Golden Sunna, goddess of sun,
Your warming rays, shine on everyone.
Each day you are born, each night you must die,
As you span the great heavens, high in the sky.
Bringer of nourishment, sprouting crops in the field,
All fruit of the world, through Nature you yield.
As a healer you are known, and second to none!
O goddess of light! O goddess of sun!
The solar disk you share, with Wotan and Frey,
While Mani rules the night moon, till dawning of day.
On a chariot you ride, with two horses of gold,
Allavinn and Arvak, are their names, we are told.
O Sunna, ever glowing! So brilliant your beams!
May they shine on forever… granting hope to man’s dreams!
