People gather outside of the occupied Greek public ERT TV and Radio headquarters in Athens on June 12, 2013 following a shock decision by the government to shut down the state broadcaster’s operations with immediate effect. Greece’s ERT television and radio stations were abruptly taken off the air on June 11 and its 2,700 staff suspended after the conservative-led government branded the broadcaster a “haven of public waste”.
