One of the politicians instrumental in creating the TSA, Rep. John Mica, who wrote the legislation that established the TSA, has apparently decided that the whole thing has been a failure and should be dismantled. He notes that “the whole program has been hijacked by bureaucrats.”
“It mushroomed into an army,” Mica said. “It’s gone from a couple-billion-dollar enterprise to close to $9 billion.”
As for keeping the American public safe, Mica says, “They’ve failed to actually detect any threat in 10 years.”
“Everything they have done has been reactive. They take shoes off because of [shoe-bomber] Richard Reid, passengers are patted down because of the diaper bomber, and you can’t pack liquids because the British uncovered a plot using liquids,” Mica said.
“It’s an agency that is always one step out of step,” Mica said.
It cost $1 billion just to train workers, which now number more than 62,000, and “they actually trained more workers than they have on the job,” Mica said.
“The whole thing is a complete fiasco,” Mica said.
There’s a lot more at that link. Now, one could (and perhaps should) note that when Mica wrote the legislation, his particular political party was in power, and now it’s not. So the cynical voice might say that his words are somewhat politically motivated. And one can (and probably should) ask how it was that Mica didn’t expect this kind of result. This is what the government does. It creates agencies that are then “hijacked by bureaucrats.” While it’s nice to see him realizing this now, it’s too bad he didn’t see it back then.

This guy is my congressman. He prides himself in being pro-aviation. I work at an aeronautical university and he comes to visit us frequently. He has also helped the university in other ways, as well. Based on what I’ve seen, I think he has taken a lot of heat over his actions. TSA is one of the least loved agencies ever created and he was the author. So much for your pro-aviation record!
But I think this goes to show that we can have an effect on our politicians. The more people that wake up, the more pressured can be applied. I never expect the majority of Americans to wake up to reality. We live in the most over indulgent societies that has ever existed. There has never been more ways to escape reality. But it is never the majority that decides a nation’s destiny. It’s an active, energized minority that does. Real Americans are the ones that are going to have to rise up and change things. The sheep will follow. Peer pressure is a powerful thing.
Those of us that love freedom and liberty are in good company. All my friends and family that are awake are much more active in reality than the rest of them. I find the guys that don’t agree with me spend most of their time escaping reality. They’re all good people, they just like doing “their thing”. In the end, I truly believe the NWO will fail. The only way they can possibly succeed is more false flag terror. They need to inject as much fear into the sheep as they can. I’m sure they are well aware of this fact. I think that’s why Alex’s spidey sense has been going off for awhile. We are fast approaching a point where there needs to be another terrorist attack. The economic disaster that is nearing is going to require a massive distraction. And unless it’s a distraction that justifies a massive federal government power grab, it will not be sufficient to quell the blow back.
So here we are – in a race with the globalists. I believe this time it will be winner takes all. Either humanity embraces freedom and personal liberty or we enter an age that will see the bastardization of the human species and the rise of a ruling class the likes of which this planet has never seen.
I’ll be sure to ping Mr. Mica about the TSA if I get a chance. I’m always willing to give a guy a second chance.
And President Wilson created the Federal Reserve by signing the legislation.
He too realized it was a big mistake. In his case he had handed over the nation to group of private bankers.
We still have a Federal Reserve.
