(NaturalNews) We’re on a reduced publishing schedule through January 1, but I wanted to update you with the latest developments here at Natural News.

As you know, we are just two weeks away from our groundbreaking announcements on food science. Our announcements are on schedule and will begin January 7, 2014. They will continue through that week, with several new mini-documentary videos, feature story announcements as well as unscripted videos from the lab.

Not everything is being announced in just one day. These are complex, high-level scientific breakthroughs that require considerable explanation to convey. It’s going to take us the entire week to get all the important announcements released, so plan to see breakthrough announcements on January 7, January 8, January 9 and beyond.

There has been speculation that our announcements center around heavy metals testing of foods, superfoods and dietary supplements. If that were the entire story, these wouldn’t be huge breakthroughs, as metals testing of products is rather routine. What we have pioneered and documented is far beyond routine heavy metals testing, and in fact some of what we are going to announce will make the entire industry of heavy metals testing of foods (as it is practiced today) obsolete. That doesn’t mean heavy metals testing isn’t valuable in a certain context, but as we will show, the way heavy metals testing is conducted today with food and dietary supplements is truly obsolete and paints a wildly distorted picture of dietary risks vs. health benefits.

Here’s another clue: One small part of what we are announcing will make Proposition 65 obsolete as well. The law will need to be completely re-written. Manufacturers of food-based supplements and superfoods will be elated to learn why this is the case. In fact, virtually the entire superfoods industry is going to be incredibly excited and even amazed at the scientific research we are about to unveil in two weeks. As we will prove, Prop 65 is a disastrous law based on junk science which is now irretrievably outdated and can be easily proven to be misleading to consumers.

All this begins on January 7 and continues throughout 2014. (It’s going to be a busy year for us here at Natural News…)

As much as our overall research is great news for the natural products industry, we’ve also blown apart many myths that have been promoted for years (or decades) across that industry. Some of the announcements we’ll be making in 2014 reveal scientific proof that some health myths related to dietary substances are pure fantasy.

I can’t give you all the details yet because I need to show you the full data set along with explanations, but there are many claims which have been made about some dietary substances which are simply not true. Some of these myths have been propagated around the natural products industry for so long — and repeatedly quoted by “experts” — that they are assumed to be true. Yet our research reveals that they are not true at all. Some of these myths have been promoted by well-known holistic doctors.

My aim in busting these myths is not to embarrass anyone who has been promoting them, but to provide you with truly empowering, ACCURATE information about the health benefits of natural substances without misleading you by parroting popular myths that have been bouncing around the industry for years. My aim is to give you the truth about natural products without wishful embellishment that isn’t based on substantiated truths.

Because one of the things I’ve found in all this research is that natural product formulators are often just “wildly guessing” about the efficacy of their products. Through meticulous research, I have been able to discover that many of the most highly-touted products in certain categories are actually not every effective at all… and there are far more effective substances that accomplish the same goals at a significantly lower cost.

All this information is going to be shared with you publicly. If you’d like to be among the very first to learn this information, subscribe to my email newsletter using the form below this article. Our email subscribers get all this information first. (I usually send the email newsletter at around midnight each night, meaning you’ll have it in your inbox usually before 6 am.)

Overall, this information is going to change the way you shop, change the way you eat, change the way you order food at restaurants and radically improve your physical health, mental health and quality of life. Thank you for your patience as we have been intensely engaged in the high-level chemistry and atomic spectroscopy necessary to develop and document this breakthrough science.

None of this has been easy. For several months, I have personally spent 12-hour days in the lab doing things like developing methodologies, testing concentration variabilities and running what now amounts to thousands of samples of foods, superfoods and nutritional supplements. This research takes a tremendous amount of time, money and effort to conduct.

There has already been conspiracy speculation on how we were able to access the hugely expensive instrumentation necessary to conduct this research, but the simple (and boring) answer is that we funded this from your purchases at the Natural News Store. We collected the profits from that effort, in other words, and instead of stuffing them into our own pockets, we made huge investments in food science research that’s now just two weeks from changing our world for the better.

For the record, we’ve had NO government funding, NO third-party investors, NO corporate sponsorship of the research, NO grant money, and so on. This has all been accomplished in-house and thanks to the support of our readers and our advertisers. So I thank you for your generous support, and I invite you to sign up for our email newsletter (below) to receive all these groundbreaking announcements beginning January 7.

Until then, enjoy the holidays!
