How to Track the Effectiveness of Online PR



PR has changed a lot over the years, and it is now just as important online as it is offline.

In fact, as more people start online businesses, and costs continue to increase, how your company is viewed by others has a huge impact on how successful you are.

The George Washington University, along with its public relations masters students, decided to look into this further.

According to the online SPR program at the university, there are five main ways to track the effectiveness of online PR.  These include measuring the engagement of a post on social media (how many likes, shares, etc. it received), measuring how many people viewed a post, and measuring how many people use a brand or product hashtag online.  For a more in depth view at the effectiveness of online PR, check out the infographic below.
