Indiana family encounters saucer UFO hovering at tree line

Indiana witnesses at Martinsville reported watching lights in a V-formation at a tree line about 1,000 feet away that were part of a saucer-shaped object about 7:30 p.m. on January 24, 2013, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving home from Walmart with a parent and three children in the vehicle when the lights were first seen.

“We were heading east on Old Morgantown Road,” the witness stated. “We went around a curve and up a hill. As we reached the top of the hill we saw five lights in a slight V-formation. We all commented on how low this apparent plane was.”

But as they continued to drive toward the lights, they realized the object was not a plane.

“The lights appeared bright white as we approached. We drove forward about half a mile. We were directly in front of the object. The object was at the tree line and about 1,000 feet away. The lights were now huge, orangish, red swirling spheres. They remained in the same formation, only now I could see clearly the shape of an object. The part I could see was saucer-shaped. The lights were lights on this craft.”

The witness then stopped the vehicle, opened the door and reached for a camera phone.

“Before I could even touch the screen, the lights went off and it was gone. I got into the car and everyone was yelling, ‘It was a UFO.'”

Nothing else was seen on the five-minute drive home, but the object was seen again from home in the distant sky.

“I went into the house and looked out the south window and saw the object again to the southeast. They were disappearing behind the tree line at a great distance. I would guess 10 to 20 miles away.”
