Iran Air flights to Kuala Lumpur ceases until early August

Kuala Lumpur, June 21, IRNA – Iran Air flights to Kuala Lumpur was temporarily ceased until early August; because of its Boeing 747SP overhauled.

After many years flight, the 747SP was overhauled at Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) and the flight was temporarily ceased.

Head of Iran Air office in Kuala Lumpur Amir Reza Omrani confirmed the report saying that the flights might resume from August 1, 2016.

Passengers, who already bought ticket for this route, will be taken by other flights.

Iran Air had two flights to Kuala Lumpur weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays and from Kuala Lumpur to Tehran on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Mahan Airlines has routine flights to Kuala Lumpur over the past 15 years and Air Asia will operate first flight from Kuala Lumpur tonight, Tuesday evening to Tehran.

Boeing 747SP was the only type of this model in the world, which was still flying and many people love to experience fly by the rare model.
