Israeli forces uproot 300 olive trees in Al-Khalil

Israeli occupation forces uprooted on Wednesday morning about 300 olive trees in the West Bank city of Al-Khalil.

Palestinian sources said that the Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Khalil village of Beit Ola in the west and stormed Palestinian farms.

The anti-Israeli Apartheid Wall activist Issa al-Imla said that the Israeli military bulldozers, protected by heavy number of Israeli occupation forces, razed a 15-dunam farm owned by the Palestinian citizen Mohamed Khalil.

He added: “Then, the Israeli military bulldozers uprooted the trees and completely damaged the irrigation infrastructure in the farm.”

Al-Imla noted that the uprooted olive trees were full of olive, which is to be picked up next month. “This way, Khalil’s family lost thus year’s income,” Al-Imla said.

It is worth mentioning that many of the farmers take care of their fruitful trees and harvest them one time a year and get their one off yearly income.
