Jordan said today that Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah had contracted coronavirus, Reuters reports.
“His Highness Prince Hussein, who had received the vaccine against the coronavirus, showed mild symptoms and is in very good health,” the Royal Court said in a statement.
King Abdullah and Queen Rania will be subject to a precautionary home quarantine for a period of five days. The results of their COVID-19 tests came back negative.
Jordan has registered 819,783 cases of coronavirus including 10,680 deaths. To date, 6,920,178 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, of whom 3,424,480 have had both doses, according to data collected by Johns Hopkins University.
