Julia Gillard criticises ‘Amercanisation’ of Australian politics

“It is in us to have a robust public debate. We’ve always had politicians come
from overseas and look at our Question Time and go – it’s a robust go – and
that is an Australian way of doing it.”

Miss Gillard earned the ire of the nation’s conservatives after she reneged on
a pre-election not to introduce a carbon tax.

Tony Abbott, the leader of the opposition and one of the most vocal opponents
of the carbon tax, recently called for a people’s revolt against the Gillard
government.

But Australia’s leader said the public deserved a higher standard of debate.

“I don’t think it helps us as a nation deal with some complicated questions.

I think there’s a temper and tone question which, you know, we want to be
uniquely our own and uniquely Australian and I’m not sure we’re seeing that
on display now.”

oh please Julia Gillard we know USA runs Australia… hence the HAARP bases and Pine Gap. Now we are going to have more USA bases soon in Australia, and I bet more false flag operations that will kill many Australians.
