Kirkuk wells under Iraqi Federal Gov’t control

IRNA – Iraqi forces captured Lilan region, Baba Gurgur oil wells, and the headquarters of the North Oil Company (NOC), northwest of Kirkuk.

Iraq’s army said in a statement that they have gained control of K1 airbase, N Kirkuk, too.

The statement also demanded that all state employees, especially security forces, such as police forces, go back to their normal activities.

Local sources have announced that the Iraqi Army has obtained the control of Tuz Khurmatu town, 70 km south of Kirkuk in Saladin Province.

Some Kurdish media in northern Iraq showed the desperate faces of Peshmerga forces.

One misty-eyed Peshmerga force told Kurdistan 24 TV channel that their commanders had left them and fled the scene.
