The Iranian freestyle wrestling team won the gold medal with a 6-1 victory against Russia in the final at Tehran’s Azadi Sports Complex on the last day of the event on Friday.
The Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling team also reached the finals but had to settle for a silver medal after losing to Russia on Wednesday.
The 2013 Wrestling World Cup opened in Tehran on February 19.
Ten countries — Iran, Russia, the United States, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Japan, Belarus, Bulgaria, and Turkey — competed in the tournament.
