‘Loops’ pilot survives after crashing into lake

A light plane has crashed into Lake Hume near Ludlows Reserve, near Ebden, after reports it was doing loops.

The pilot, the only person on board, was treated on the shore by paramedics before being taken to Albury Base hospital.

It is believed injuries are non-life threatening.

There were reports that the aircraft was flying low and doing “loops” for several minutes before it hit the water.
