AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — After a brief reprieve, Maine gas prices are back on the rise.
Price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com reports Monday that the average retail price of a gallon of gas has risen a penny to $3.83.
The small jump followed last week’s nearly two-cent loss.
The average price in Maine is three cents above the national average.
Prices are 26 cents per gallon higher than the same day a year ago and more than 14 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has increased nearly 29 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 28 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
