A kidnapping victim has been released and police have charged the alleged perpetrator.
Early on Tuesday, a 24-year-old man was confronted by a number of men as he parked his car at his Bonnyrigg home.
About 1.30am (AEST) the men ordered him to get back into his car – a black Subaru WRX – and drove him around for a period of time before transferring him to a silver Hyundai Getz and taking him to a Heckenberg residence.
He was held against his will for a number of hours until his family was contacted to collect him.
He is unharmed.
Police subsequently arrested and charged a 24-year-old man with kidnapping offences.
He was refused bail and will appear in Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday.
Police may make further arrests.
