A Tasmanian road maintenance worker died when a potato truck smashed into him, crushing him as he operated machinery.
The man was killed instantly when a red international prime mover crashed into the rear of a the road worker’s truck at about 9.13am on Thursday near Legerwood in Tasmania’s north.
The man was operating machinery behind his Volvo truck when he was crushed between both trucks.
The crash is being investigated by police, with speed not believed to be a factor.
