Man Sues After He Wakes Up From Colonoscopy Wearing A Special Surprise
Delaware man Andrew Walls, 32, is suing after he awoke from a colonoscopy to find himself wearing a pair of pink panties. The prank took place at the Delaware Surgery Center, where Walls was an employee at the time. He suspects his coworkers are responsible for the prank.
Walls’ civil lawsuit stated, “When the plaintiff recovered from the effects of the anesthesia administered by defendants, he awoke to realize that while he was unconscious pink women’s underwear had been placed on his body. When the plaintiff initially presented for his colonoscopy he had not been wearing pink women’s underwear and at no time did the plaintiff voluntarily, knowingly or intentionally place the pink women’s underwear upon himself.”
Walls claims his coworkers “failed to maintain proper policies and procedures for the care of patients with respect to not engaging in extreme and outrageous conduct.”
The incident happened in 2012. Walls lost his job in the months following the prank, an event he says the joke is responsible for due to the “severe emotional stress” it caused him. His lawsuit is seeking damages for intentional infliction of emotional stress.
The Delaware Surgery Center declined to comment on the case, and told Delaware Online they “just found about this yesterday afternoon.”
