There is a lot of hand rubbing going on behind the scenes while violence erupts in the streets. I recommend not needlessly getting sucked into any of these manufactured events, such as the recent demonstrations at Berkeley.

I’m not saying we should let antifa intimidate us, but we should pick our battles strategically and not get into fights to support Trump, Milo, Ann Coulter, or any other kosher conservative.

There is a violent militant faction of domestic terrorists attempting to rob citizens of their democratic liberties and yet American media and “democratic” government appear blatantly unwilling to so much as identify the organization let alone address it in meaningful way.
I’m speaking of Antifa, which is said to be an abbreviation for anti-fascists; however, based on their communist views toward free speech and political expression, a more appropriate label would be Anti-FA for anti-First Amendment rights. At a local level, there are numerous sub-groups that go by various names – such as BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) — but collectively they organize as Antifa to commit acts of violence, vandalism, harassment and stalking.
Volumes could be written about their history, tactics, covert funding, affiliations and infiltration. It’s all fodder for future posts. For today, this post is simply calling out the media for hiding this group’s organized acts of domestic terror because in order to deal with a problem, one must first correctly identify it.
Antifa has been allowed to fly under the radar for decades. Of late, corrupt and corporatized media outlets in the United States have rebranded the ISIL-esque black-pajama-clad radicals “anti-Trump protesters.” This is as disingenuous as labeling pro-Trump supporters “white nationalists” or Nazis.
The following is a spattering of examples of this miscarriage of journalism. It should be noted that Antifa’s modus operandi is to crash publicized events held by non-liberal groups. Their contrived cause is often “racism” and their objective is to shut down the event “by any means necessary.”
In articles about the Patriots Day demonstration and subsequent riot in Berkeley, The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times refer to the Antifa, who were “dressed in black and wearing masks” and attacking folks, as “anti-Trump attendees”; whereas, it refers to some folks who showed up in “security gear” to protect “pro-Trump demonstrators” as “citizen militia.”
Hundreds of people gathered at the park for a pro-Trump rally and a counterprotest, some dressed in black and wearing masks, the Los Angeles Times reported. There were loud explosions and fistfights among members of both groups, and a citizen militia group wearing security gear showed up to protect the pro-Trump demonstrators. Berkeley police officers, wearing riot helmets, separated pro- and anti-Trump attendees, the Times reported. …
On March 4, a mixed crowd of about 500 pro- and anti-Trump demonstrators similarly became violent. Fistfights broke out, and protesters used pepper spray, metal pipes, lumber, bricks and other items that were prohibited for Saturday’s protests.
The Times article mentions “an anti-fascist group” but doesn’t call out Antifa. Then, through interviews the reporter supposedly conducted, the article paints for the reader a picture of “pro-Trump supporters” as violence-loving brawlers and “anti-Trump protesters” as candy-dispensing lovers of humanity. In fact, the opposite was true.
Stewart Rhodes, founder of the citizen militia group known as the Oath Keepers, said he came from Montana with about 50 others to protect Trump supporters. They were joined by bikers and others who vowed to fight members of an anti-fascist group if they crossed police barricades.
“I don’t mind hitting” the counter-demonstrators, Rhodes said. “In fact, I would kind of enjoy it.” …
Dave Gottfried, 58, a self-employed Berkeley artist, passed “empathy kisses,” chocolate candy, out to both sides. He had hoped to “show empathy is the beginning of understanding.”
In Portland, Ore., police arrested 25 people for acts of violence and vandalism during a Nov. 11 protest. Portland P.D. even publicized their mugshots, names and crimes. Though it was widely acknowledged that the criminals are Antifa members, the state’s newspaper, The Oregonian, meekly referred to them as part of a “crowd of thousands” and rioters.
Jail mugshots show a few with minor scuffs or wounds on their faces.
Police say they were part of a crowd of thousands of protesters who took to the streets late Thursday and early Friday to speak out against the election of Donald Trump as president. But a small number turned violent, shattering car and building windows and marring property with spray paint.
