- Update: Saratoga County, New York (First reported 11-10-14): A now-former sergeant pled guilty to misconduct and harassment for slapping a man who refused consent to a car search. Video evidence of the altercation prompted the sheriff to say “I’m kind of very disturbed with what I saw.” The former sergeant will not go to jail or be placed on probation, but he was charged $1500 for court costs and fines. ow.ly/Krcnv
- St. Louis, Missouri: A now-former officer was indicted for providing a pistol-gripped shotgun to a known drug dealer. The indictment alleges that he provided the gun knowing it would be used in furtherance of drug trafficking and that while he was an officer he knowingly and repeatedly associated with drug dealers. ow.ly/KrldD
- Washington, District of Columbia: An officer who also is a local pastor was charged with sexual abuse of a minor. ow.ly/Krv73
- Nixon, Texas: An officer was given a one-week suspension for DWI. She left her car on tracks where it was totaled by a freight train. She returned to work Monday. ow.ly/KrwjU
- Chicopee, Massachusetts: A now-former officer faces assault charges for choking a woman during a 2013 arrest. The woman is suing him and the department. ow.ly/Krxqn
- Rutland, Vermont: A probationary officer was arrested for DUI. He was pulled over for erratic driving. His BAC test registered at 0.164 at processing. ow.ly/Kry05
- Broward County, Florida: A deputy was arrested after an off-duty shooting. Police allege he was intoxicated at the time of the incident. He claims he fired the gun in self-defense. ow.ly/KryQ1
- Seminole County, Florida: A now-former deputy was arrested for fraud. Allegedly, he charged homeowners’ associations for off-duty security patrols he didn’t perform. ow.ly/KrzSH
