Edward Snowden, National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower, has recently exposed how “main communications links that connect Yahoo and Google data centers around the world.”

With this connection, the NSA has been able to collect data from any American at any time.

Portions of the Special Source Operations Weekly (SSOW) reveal how the NSA and the British General Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) work in tandem to share intelligence.

Under the MUSCULAR program , “private links” connect “WINDSTOP operation” for data collecting purposes. This is where Yahoo and Google are utilized.

This program may be why a ginormous four-story barge is sitting afloat San Francisco Bay and causing a mystery .

The owner of this barge that is nestled at the end of Treasure Island, a former Naval base, is assumed to be Google.

Google has not responded; however it was discovered “after going through lease agreements, tracking a contact tied to the project on LinkedIn, talking to locals on Treasure Island, and consulting with experts, it’s all but certain that Google is the entity that is building the massive structure that’s in plain sight, but behind tight security.”

Mainstream media states that Google “has a history of putting data centers in places with cheap cooling, as well as undertaking odd and unexpected projects like trying to bring Internet access to developing nations via balloons and blimps.”

In 2009, Google was granted a patent for a water-based data center (WBDC).

The patent explains that this WBDC is “a system; including a floating platform-mounted computer data center comprising a plurality of computing units, a sea-based electrical generator in electrical connection with the plurality of computing units, and one or more sea-water cooling units for providing cooling to the plurality of computing units.”

Google stated that they are “troubled by allegations of the government intercepting traffic between our data centers, and we are not aware of this activity. We have long been concerned about the possibility of this kind of snooping, which is why we continue to extend encryption across more and more Google services and links.”

Yahoo released this comment: “We have strict controls in place to protect the security of our data centers, and we have not given access to our data centers to the NSA or to any other government agency.”

New revelations in the saga that is government spying has turned to the lucrative business that is surveillance.

The NSA paid certain corporations “compliance costs” for handing over private customer information to the PRISM program.

This information confirms that there is “a financial relationship between the tech companies and the NSA.”

Participants in the bribe-scheme called special source operations (SSO) are:

• Google
• Yahoo
• Microsoft
• Facebook
• Apple
• AOL
• Skype
• YouTube
• PalTalk

Yahoo justified their bribe payment as simply reimbursement “for costs to respond to compulsory legal process.”

Google said that they “await the US government’s response to our petition to publish more national security request data, which will show that our compliance with American national security laws falls far short of the wild claims still being made in the press today.”
