The Queen of Mean, Leona Helmsley, was right – the wealthy do not pay taxes, the little people do. Helmsley’s remark is more spot on than ever as Obama prepares to raise taxes on middle income Americans under the ruse of taxing the rich.

According to the establishment media, Obama’s tax burden will hit predominantly upper income taxpayers and reduce spending on “mandatory benefit programs,” including Medicare and Medicaid, by $580 billion.

Obama and the Democrats will raise billions more, not by direct taxation but through an across the board increase in government mandated fees.

Documents crafted by the Obama administration describe the fees as savings, according to the Associated Press.

Air travelers will be forced to pay more “federal security fees” – and endure what amounts to sexual molestation at the airport – and corporate air travel will get socked with a round of new fees.

Government workers are easy targets, so they will face an additional 1.2 percentage point deduction from their paychecks to contribute $21 billion more for their pensions.

Military retirees will pay a $200 fee when they turn 65 to have the government pay their out-of-pocket Medicare expenses and will also pay more for non-generic prescription drugs.

Mortgage behemoths Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be charged new fees that will naturally be passed along to lenders. The fee increase will reportedly raise $28 billion over 10 years.

Obama has come up with a blizzard of new fees, including fees that “tilt toward the arcane,” according to the AP.

“There’s a plan to save $3 million a year by developing an electronic records system for hazardous waste shipments. Another would produce $7 million more a year by giving the federal government a 50 percent share of receipts from geothermal leases on federal lands instead of 25 percent, with the remainder going to the states.”

If you think the Republicans will save you from Obama taking more of your money to pay off a national debt you are not responsible for, think again.

A Biden-led group including Republicans think fleecing air travelers is a good idea and they are coming around to the idea that tax increases can be disguised as fee increases for “government services” that are in fact government monopolies.

- I read that interview. It has some colossal charges in it i must say. The gist of it is that,

Fees are not usually a good thing. Fees are usually avoided. Airline and air traffic control fees would be a very bad thing. Imagine if you will a fee based system for flight plans, something being proposed. Do you think for a minute that some flights will go without a plan to avoid the fee? Absolutely. I for one do not want to be up in the air with a bunch of airplanes that don’t have flight plans in bad weather. It is a recipee for disaster. Any fee that could be potentially dangerous should be stopped. What we need to do is cut our spending back to what we can afford. Period.
Another under the cover tax is the carbon tax. It will soon start in Europe for all internaional airlines. It will be a heavy fee per passenger ticket, paid to the carbon trading board. Your buddie Al Gore will rip a % off of the top.

I must continue to object to people giving Obama credit for doing anything, including bad things. OBAMA IS A PUPPET OF THE BANKSTERS. Don’t be fooled. If the rich don’t pay taxes, then how is it that just the top 10% of earners pay over 70% of the taxes? The top 25% of earners pay almost 90% of the taxes.
- The rich do pay taxes. That they don’t is a lie told by those that want to devide us. Now, I will say that there are loop holes that the rest of us cannot take advantage of but it is really only the corporations and those making under $20 per hour that do not pay taxes. Corporations as you know pass taxes on to its customers.

All the taxes the CEO pays, employees and the janitor that sweeps the floors (including their state and local) are all embedded in the car you buy from GM. Same goes for all other goods and services.
