The smartphone, laptop, and eReader may all be ‘essential’ additions to modern life but they are wreaking havoc on our bodies, experts say.
A survey by the British Chiropractic Association found that one in four of us complain of a sore neck, back or shoulder due to using or carrying gadgets.
It’s not surprising when you consider that two-thirds carry at least two items of technology around with them. A typical notebook, smartphone and eReader have a combined weight of 2kg or 4.4lbs.
Laptops appear to be the major culprit with 27 per cent of those suffering back or neck pain admitting to using a laptop for between two to four hours a day.

The biggest physical health issue would probably be obesity, since most gamers and gadget-ers are sedentary, lazy and fat. I use my laptop to listen to Jones while working out but then I spend just enought time to rea/answer email and follow some news but then it is shut off. As for Android/IPhones and other gadgets–dont want them. They serve a purpose to communictae but to many people are glued to them.
