White supremacist hate group can no longer use PayPal’s money transfer services.

PayPal, one of the largest online money transfer services, has suspended the account of Council of Concerned Citizens (CCC), a white nationalist hate group.

PayPal’s policy prohibits use of its services for activities that relate to transactions involving items that promote hate, violence or racial intolerance, or graphically portray violence or victims of violence. Southern Poverty Leadership Center (SPLC), an organization that tracks hate groups, lists CCC as a white supremacist group. The CCC website is described by SPLC as condemning “race-mixing” and  regularly featuring stories of a victimized white majority and the violent nature of people of color.  Dylann Roof  said CCC made him racially aware and informed his white supremacist views prior to his massacre of nine persons in a Charleston, S.C. church.

Attempts to donate to CCC through PayPal now result in the message that “this recipient is currently unable to receive money.”

Other white supremacist groups banned by PayPal from using its services to move money include Stormfront, Vanguard News Network Forum, and the Daily Stormer.
