Palestinian journalist injured by Israeli snipers along Gaza borders passed away

Palestinian journalist Ahmed abu-Hussein succumbed to his wounds sustained two weeks ago as he was shot by an Israeli occupation sniper during his coverage to the Great March of Return.

Abu-Hussein suffered serious wounds as he was shot with an exploding live bullet in his belly by an Israeli sniper.

He needed urgent medical treatment outside the Gaza Strip, but the Israeli occupation authorities, which do not allow patients to travel for treatment, delayed his travel.

About a week after he was wounded, he was allowed to travel to the occupied West Bank, but he remained in comma until he was announced dead today.

His death brings the toll of the Gaza casualties to 40 deaths along with more than 5,000 wounded during the violent Israeli crackdown on the peaceful protest of the Great March of Return in Gaza.
