AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The mother of Palestinian hunger striker Ayman Sharawna on Friday said she would not end her hunger strike unless her son is released.

The mother of Sharawna, who is in Aliya hospital, told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that she would continue her hunger strike, which she started seven days ago, in solidarity with her son.

She added that her son, despite his hunger strike for long days, enjoys high spirits and strong will which cannot be subdued by his jailers.

For his part, Jihad, the brother of Sharawna, told the PIC that his family is dismayed by the passive attitude of the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah towards the issue of its son, affirming that no one contacted the family, except for Hamas political leader Khaled Mishaal, who phoned it several times, as well as some Hamas lawmakers and officials.
