Police Launch Murder Probe Into Prince’s Death

A murder investigation has reportedly been launched into Prince’s death after prescription drugs were found at Paisley Park where he died.

Police are said to be looking for doctors or handlers who treated the star as friends fear he may have been over prescribed drugs.

According to the Daily Star Police in Minneapolis have refused to rule out homicide

Metro.co.uk reports: A team has been put in place to investigate and piece together the last two years of Prince’s life to establish what happened.

A police source told The Daily Star: ‘A crack team have been assigned with learning minute by minute what Prince was doing during his final days. But the investigation will also look into his activities over the last two years.’

It recently surfaced that the singer had worked 154 hours, six and a half days, straight with no sleep in the lead up to his death.

The singer was reported to have also accidentally overdosed the week before his death and was given live saving drugs tor reverse the effects.

‘Prince’s medical history is at the top of detectives’ list when it comes to cause of his death,’ the source said.

Authorities are now said to be examining the phones, computers and email accounts of staff from Paisley Park.

Prince is also reported to have had ‘chronic money problems’ in the years before his death. TMZ reports that he would ‘frequently spend more than he earned’ and allegedly refused several opportunities to make more money, such as selling his music catalogue or licensing his music for movies, TV shows and adverts.

Meanwhile Prince’s his lawyer and former manager, Lawyer L Londell McMillan, strongly denies claims that the Prince was addicted to taking drugs after being prescribed them for chronic pain.

According to the Sun, McMillan acknowledged that while Prince may have suffered at times and took medication to alleviate it, he was “not on any drugs that would be any cause for concern”.

He added: “Everybody who knows Prince knows he wasn’t walking around drugged up. That’s foolish. No one ever saw Prince and said ‘He looks high’. It wasn’t what he was about.

“Prince had an amazing life. He enjoyed life. He had a lot of fun.”
